Yesterday I was supposed to go to Cape Cod. The bus went without me. It certainly was not stated clearly on the reservation that I was supposed to call Gray Line again about me getting picked up at Fairmont Copley Square Hotel.
I made three reservations with you. On the Duck Tour it says:
Please note: You must reconfirm directly with Boston Duck Tours at ….
That is read and understood.
On the Cape Cod-reservation it says:
Complimentary pick-up is offered for this tour/activity (as specified on the tour / activity description page). If you require this service you must contact Brush Hill Tours / Gray Line of Boston at …
I required that service when I made the reservation and I could not believe I was supposed to reconfirm anything. It does not say anything about reconfirming. So 50 people call them three times a week confirming something they have already told you? It sounds like over doing things.
An appropriate information would be
”If you HAVE requirED this service you MUST RECONFIRM with Brush Hill Tours / Gray Line of Boston at”.
I went to Gray Line on South Charles Street. By the way, they are at number EIGHT TEEN, not 16 as you write in the reservation. I am back in Sweden next time they have a tour to Cape Cod but they put me on a Wrentham shopping tour instead. It is in the same direction as Cape Cod, but these tours certainly are not comparable. Wrentham does even cost 15 USB less that Cape Cod and I think it is appropriate for a refund.
I was at the Fairmont Copley Square Hotel and in front of the hotel at 8.45 am. “In front of” I thought was facing the square, but I finally asked the door man about the pickup and he said I should go to the one to the right. As the hotel have many entrances it is hard to understand what you mean by ”in front of”. In front of seems to be facing the square. I went to the right entrance about 9.05 or so and I was there until 9.50. Then the consiege called Gray Line and they said the bus had left.
So, how are you going to deal with this? Update your information is a good idea. It even says that time of departure is 9.30 and below it says 16 S South Charles St. That sounds clear to me that the bus departs from South Charles Street at 9.30 so if I am at the Fairmont (correct entrance) at 9.05 it would not be a problem – but it certainly was. Gray Line told me that 9.30 means that the bus leaves Boston at that time. OK …
I have bought tours from you before, but this is it. Your information is not trustworthy and I will not recommend you. I have written about my trip to Boston on my travel blog and tours through you certainly have been mentioned, but unfortunately I have to write about this too. So I suggest you give me a refund for at least the difference between Cape Cod and Wrentham and this will be forgiven.
And one more thing – before I went I had a question about the trolley tour. I sent you an email through your website and waited. And waited. I sent a new message, and a new and a new and finally, after almost two weeks I received an answer. That is not how we treat customers in Sweden.
